EUROPRIX deadlinea on jatkettu kuukaudella. Suomalaiset ovat olleet kestomenestyjiä tässä alle 30-vuotiaille tuottajille ja opiskelijoille suunnatussa kisassa. Kilpailusarjoja on yhdeksän, webbiprojekteista peleihin ja animaatioihin, lisäksi kolme erikoispalkintoa (konseptit ja uudet, vielä toteuttamattomat ideatkin voivat nyt voittaa Special Awardin).

Akademy on avoimen lähdekoodin työpöytäratkaisuja kehittävän KDE-projektin vuosittainen yhteisötapaaminen. Tänä vuonna Akademy järjestetään Suomessa, Tampereella, 3.-10.7. Akademy sisältää kaksipäiväisen konferenssin, ryhmätapaamisia, aikaa ohjelmoinnille ja muulle kehitystyölle sekä KDE e.V.:n vuosittaisen jäsentapaamisen.
