NFG - Near Field Gaming!

Apparently quite a lot things has already been done with NFC. My favourite idea about translater was killed today when we had a meeting with Maini. We are still doing our best to get Social city to fly - but we have to come up with something extraordinary during next week. At this point I would cross my fingers for Near Field Gaming.

Social city is a good idea. We just can't get our ideas flying high enough. The basic idea is to lower the barriers to communicate and socialize, to help people to get to know each others. So really useful concept and I think that it might have a lot of users IF we just come up with the killer idea. Nothing usual isn't good enough. This idea still has some days to develope before we kill it for good (or at least for this project).

I have never been into games - neither the ones for game consoles or computers nor role games. I play board games every now and then with my friends, but that's it. Mainly thats why I was so suprised when I actually got enthousiasted about this idea about Near Field Gaming. The idea is the same than in traditional role games, but we will develope another virtual world on top of the real one where players can play the game. This way we can make it more real and  addictive.

Currently our project is facing some serious challenges. Mikaela and Katarina are leaving within a month and sometimes I still feel like we are just getting started with our project. Also Joonas is moving to another city for summer. Luckily we have a new member (at least hopefully) who is able to help us with demo. Or more or less do it according to our instructions :) Since the beginning of the project it has been clear that we don't have enough technical skills in our team - which is as well a good thing when brainstorming. However, for developing actual demo we need someone who has skills to use flash and it seems like we found the special one today :)
