video shoot week

Last week was totally different from any other week this summer. That´s because we concentrated our energy to another field of media: video production.

We decided to shoot a video of our brilliant ideas, because we don´t have anything "concrete" to show at the presentation. The video shows one user scenario where our software works. I was really excited about this project because I have studied video production at school for four years. Finally we did something that I knew more about than the other people in our team. I concentrated on drawing the the storyboard and Hanne, having  experience from scriptwriting, handled that part. Vilja did the animations to the mobile phone that displayed how our software would work.

The first shoot was on thursday in Kaukajärvi Hikivuori, where our mountain climbing story took place. Joel and Hanne worked behind the camera and I was the actress with the unbeliavable climbing skills. The shoot went well. We did our best with the equipment we had. Thanks again for Marko for lending his camera! The next shoot is going to be at this week and then we´re ready for the post production, editing that is. I hope we´ll get the video ready on time.

Rajib has been working hard with the concept definition and I have concentrated on the marketing aspect of the project. On friday we also got some good pointers for the pitching session that we´re going to do on the 31st of this month. Next challenge is to come up with that "thick story" and sell it to the audience :)
