Thought controlled gaming

1. Project in nutshell

Modern graphics. Arcade gameplay. Exciting controls.

The team produced a bundle of 5 games with novelty controls including facial muscles, player concentration, stress levels and head movement.

2. What did we learn?

Practical experience in software developement is always a good thing.
Learning to work in new developement environments and to use new tools is always an eye opening exprerience. When thinking of the Innosummer as a whole I think the overall process was very educational and all experiences will help in future.

3. Feelings about whole process?

I can honestly say that working in Innosummer was so far my best summer job. We had a great team with good spirit which made working easy and fun. And of course all the other teams and Innosummer related people created a great atmosphere and environment to work in. All in all, only positive feelings.

4. What was best thing?

I think the best feeling we had during the summer was when we decided that the project was complete. Then we were able to see that we had innovated, designed and implemented an actual sofware from scratch.
And of course, when we won the Best project of the summer -award we realized that it was not only us that were pleased with the results :)

5. Customers comments?

As far as I know the customer was pleased with the project results. We were even invited in Brussels twice to present our project. First we participated in Open days -event and after that in Tampere Region EU Office 10 anniversary. So the project has gained quite a lot of international visibility as well as regional visibility, for example in Tampere Business Magazine and Rajapinta, a publication for students at Tampere Univeristy of Technology.
